KOTA KINABALU: Fifteen Manchester United supporters won all-expenses-paid trips to Old Trafford at United Malaysia’s 8th Annual Dinner, which drew about 1,200 fans in what organisers described as the country’s largest gathering of Manchester United supporters.

The sold-out event at Hakka Hall on Saturday saw fans from Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching and Brunei come together, transforming the venue into a sea of red.

The highlight of the evening was a series of raffle and lucky draws, with 15 members winning travel packages to the Theatre of Dreams.
Each package includes return flights, match tickets and accommodation, giving the winners the opportunity to watch Manchester United in action at Old Trafford.
Organising chairman Bryan Faurillo said the giveaway was a way of recognising the loyalty and passion of the club’s members.
“This is what United Malaysia is all about – rewarding the loyalty, passion and unity of our members. Seeing 15 supporters realise their dream of going to Old Trafford was a special moment for all of us,” he said.
Earlier in the day, United Malaysia president, Batholomew Jingulam was returned unopposed for a sixth consecutive term during the club’s biennial general meeting.
Jingulam said the initiative reflected the club’s appreciation for its members.
“Our members are at the heart of everything we do.
“Sending 15 supporters to Old Trafford is our way of thanking them for their continued support and commitment to the club,” he said.

He added that United Malaysia’s success was built on its members, with the annual dinner serving as a celebration of the unity and camaraderie shared by Manchester United supporters across the region.
