KOTA KINABALU: Three players from Sabah participated in the 18th Korean Junior Squash Championship, held in Incheon from 18th to 21st August 2025.

Prestige Squash Club Secretary, Mohd Nizam Ali Hasan mentioned that the tournament provided another excellent result and valuable international exposure for our young players as they continue striving to improve in squash.

“Euodia Lai (Girls U19) secured 3rd place

after lost in the semifinals to Elaine Chung from Hong Kong 3-0, Adryel Faurillo (Boys U13) crowned Plate Champion after defeated Nathan from the USA 2–0 in the final and Gabriel Chia (Boys U15) reached the quarterfinals after lost to Lee J.M. from Korea 3-1 in the quarterfinal match.

“Their achievements at this international tournament highlight their hard work, discipline, and continuous growth, marking another proud moment for Sabah squash,” he said.

The club also extends its heartfelt appreciation to the coaches, parents, and supporters who continue to play a vital role in the development of our Sabah junior athletes.

“Congratulations to all our athletes on their outstanding performances,” he added.
