KENINGAU: UMNO Sabah Treasurer, Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak, has reaffirmed that the Gabungan Perpaduan (Unity Coalition) in Sabah will focus on seats agreed upon by its partners, with efforts fully aligned to ensure victory in the upcoming state election (PRN).
“We will focus on the seats contested by the Unity Coalition.
“There must be no overlapping contests or vote-splitting. Liawan is a key seat — and with proper coordination, we can win it back,” he said.
Speaking at the “Radu Tatap Radu” gathering in Liawan, Salleh emphasized that the strength of the coalition lies in its unity and clarity of purpose.
He also highlighted that the Unity Coalition will engage with local parties that share the same goals, with the aim of fostering political stability and delivering development to the people.
“Sabah needs a stable government that focuses on service and development.
“That is only possible through cooperation, not division,” he added.
The gathering in Liawan was attended by grassroots leaders from Daerah Mengundi Luagan, reflecting strong local support and readiness at the community level to work together for success in the coming election.
